Meet Dr. Nick...

Dr. Nick was born in Rapid City, South Dakota; his mother a teacher, and his father an engineer whose job kept the family moving so that Nick had lived in eight states by eighth grade. Finally settling in Knoxville, Tennessee, where Nick went to high school, then attended the University of Tennessee, and UT Veterinary School. Throughout his training, Nick worked with livestock, assisted in the Great Smoky Mountains Black Bear monitoring program, and at the Knoxville Zoo, working with exotic animals from cobras to polar bears. On graduating, Nick accepted an opportunity at a new veterinary hospital in Fairhaven, Massachusetts where he helped the owner grow the business into one of the region’s most successful animal hospitals. Dr. Nick would stay on through two changes in ownership, becoming the practice’s medical director and chief surgeon.

Dr. Nick treats companion animals, with interests in surgery and dermatology. Dr. Nick’s brand of medicine is focused on the improving the health of our companion animals and the animal-human bond.

When not working, Nick relaxes with his four dogs, CB, Belle, Ezmeralda and Truly. In the summer he can be found in his gardens when not traveling.
